Privacy notice.

This notice explains what Daylight Now handles when you search for light times or choose to use your device location.

Information used to provide the service

When you search for a place, your search text is sent to OpenStreetMap’s Nominatim service to find matching locations. When you select a result, Daylight Now sends the selected latitude and longitude, plus the date you chose, to Open-Meteo to calculate sunrise and sunset times.

If you choose Use my current location, your browser asks for permission first. If you allow it, your device’s coordinates are used for the same lookup. You can decline permission and search for a place instead.

What Daylight Now does not currently do

As of the date above, Daylight Now does not provide accounts, require a name or email address, run a contact form, use analytics tags, or place advertising-network tags on this site. It does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Third-party services

Your browser may communicate directly with Nominatim, Open-Meteo, Google Fonts, and the hosting provider in order to render the site and provide results. Those services may process technical information such as an IP address under their own privacy practices. Daylight Now does not control those services.

Advertising and affiliate links

Daylight Now plans to use Google AdSense if it is approved. Until Google AdSense code is activated, Daylight Now does not load Google advertising cookies. Once activated, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve and measure ads based on visits to this and other websites. Google’s advertising practices are described in its advertising technologies notice.

Visitors may manage personalized ads through Google Ads Settings or opt out of many participating companies’ personalized advertising through aboutads.info. Where consent is required, including for relevant visitors in the EEA, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Daylight Now will present a consent choice before using advertising cookies or personal data for personalized ads.

Sponsored placements and affiliate links will be clearly identified near the relevant content. This notice will be updated before any additional advertising or tracking provider is activated.

Your choices

You may search without using device location, control location permissions in your browser or device settings, and control cookies through your browser settings. Where a consent or opt-out mechanism is required for advertising technology, it will be made available at the time that technology is introduced.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice to reflect changes to the service or applicable requirements. The date at the top will show when it was last revised.
